What’s your routine?

So this week didn’t start off great for me.  I got back to Dublin late and then went for a few drinks that night. Celebrate the Irish winning..any excuse eh?!

All good fun but I paid for it on Monday!

Normally I’d prepare some meals on Sunday night for the week or have some food in the house.

Had a rare lie in that morning but then realised I had no eggs left for breakfast!

It kind of threw me off my day.

Does this ever happen to you?

It’s Monday morning, you wake up late and then barely have time to make breakfast before rushing out the door.

It’s important to start the week off on the right foot. Start as you mean to go on.

So instead of getting up late or hitting snooze on the alarm clock for the second time try something like this:

Wake up 30 minutes earlier. Drink a glass of water as soon as you get up to help hydrate you. (Not coffee first!)

Think about your goals for the week and what you want to achieve and write them down. Maybe it’s go to the gym 3 days this week.

Do some light bodyweight exercises for 15-20 minutes to get some blood flowing to your body.
If you don’t know what Exercises to do then get a copy of my book here for some bodyweight routines.

Make time for a good breakfast before you leave. (Not a sugary cereal)

Now do you think if you started your day off like this  you would have more energy? Definitely!

It will be hard at first but once you get into the routine you will be fine.

So try some of those suggestions this week and let me know how you get on!
